What this site is

AI Social Care publishes an operational standard for how artificial intelligence should be supervised in adult social care settings in the United Kingdom, alongside a free readiness check, a growing library of answer pages, and paid gap-analysis services for providers who want external written assessment.

The gap this site fills is specific. The Care Quality Commission published its position on AI in health and social care on 21 May 2026. It encourages the use of AI, will not create a separate AI framework, and is considering sector-specific guidance for 2026–27. Meanwhile the 10 Year Health Plan calls for a shift from analogue to digital, and the Casey Commission asks for care that is productive and preventative. All arrows point the same way — and no statutory operational guidance exists yet. That is what this site provides, in advisory form, while the formal guidance is developed.

AI Social Care is a project of Sovereign Chain Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

About the founder

Jaqueline Martins is the founder of Sovereign Chain Ltd and the author of the standard.

Why the standard is free

The standard is published free at the point of use because operational assurance for AI in care cannot become the private property of one supplier. The value we capture is downstream — from providers who want external assessment (gap analysis), from local authorities who want the procurement checklist customised to their commissioning cycle, and eventually from a software product that automates the evidence layer.

The paper, the readiness check, and the answer pages are, and will remain, free.
